Top 10 Most asked questions

What is EU-Exit and how does it work?

EU-Exit is a platform that helps you explore and implement a business structure outside the European Union.

You start with the Exit-Check to understand your situation, and from there you can move step by step toward a fully implemented setup.

Who is EU-Exit designed for?

EU-Exit focussed in designing for freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote professionals, perpetual traveler and online business owners who operate internationally and are exploring structural alternatives outside the European Union.

The platform focuses primarily on individuals with location-independent income models who want to align their business structure with their lifestyle and mobility.

Why are people exploring business structures outside the EU?

Many people today work globally, but their legal and tax structures are still tied to a single EU country.

This creates a mismatch and exploring alternative setups is often about bringing structure and lifestyle back into alignment.

Why is Georgia often mentioned as a relocation jurisdiction?

Georgia comes up often because it combines a non-EU legal framework with relatively simple administration and accessible setup options.

For many internationally active professionals, it offers a practical and approachable starting point.

Do I need to move to Georgia to set up a structure there?

Not necessarily.

In many cases, a business structure can be set up remotely — but over time, your personal residency and how you actually live will still play an important role.

What types of business structures are available in Georgia?

The most common options are Individual Entrepreneurship and company structures such as limited liability companies.

Which one fits best depends on your business model, income level and how you plan to operate.

How long does a typical setup take?

Once everything is prepared and documents are submitted, the setup itself can often move quite quickly.

The overall timeline depends on your situation, but the process is designed to be straightforward and efficient.

What happens after my setup is completed?

Once your setup is finished, you receive your legal documents and your structure is in place.

From there, you can continue to manage renewals, subscriptions and optional services directly through the EU-Exit platform.

Getting started

What does it mean to structurally exit the European Union?

A structural exit means reorganizing your legal and operational framework so that your business activities are no longer primarily tied to an EU jurisdiction.

This typically involves establishing a business structure in a non-EU country and aligning residency, operations and administration accordingly. The goal is not simply relocation, but creating a coherent structure that reflects where and how you actually operate.

Who is the EU-Exit platform designed for?

EU-Exit is designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote professionals and digital business owners who operate internationally and are exploring structural alternatives outside the European Union.

The platform focuses primarily on individuals with location-independent income models who want to align their business structure with their lifestyle and mobility.

Is EU-Exit a relocation service?

EU-Exit is primarily a structural setup platform.

Rather than focusing on lifestyle relocation, the platform focuses on legal and operational frameworks that allow individuals to establish business structures outside the EU. The relocation aspect is therefore connected to structural implementation rather than lifestyle guidance.

Do I need to move physically to relocate my business structure?

Not necessarily.

A business structure can often be established independently of your immediate physical relocation. However, long-term legal and tax considerations may depend on where you are personally resident and where your activities take place.

Can I keep living in Europe after setting up a structure in Georgia?

This depends on the specific legal and tax rules of the country where you reside.

Establishing a company in another jurisdiction does not automatically change your tax residency. Individuals should therefore ensure that their personal residency situation aligns with their chosen structure.

How long does a typical relocation setup take?

In many cases, the technical setup of a business structure in Georgia can be completed within a relatively short timeframe once all documents have been submitted.

However, the overall process can vary depending on document preparation, verification steps and individual circumstances.

Why choose Georgia

Why is Georgia currently a popular relocation jurisdiction?

Georgia has gained attention due to its relatively straightforward administrative processes, accessible business structures and openness toward international entrepreneurs.

Its regulatory environment is considered comparatively simple, which makes it attractive for individuals operating digital or international businesses.

Is Georgia part of the European Union?

No.

Georgia is an independent country located in the Caucasus region and is not part of the European Union. This legal separation is one of the reasons it is considered by some individuals exploring non-EU business structures.

How stable is the legal and regulatory framework in Georgia?

Georgia has implemented a number of reforms over the past decades aimed at simplifying administration and encouraging international business activity.

Like any jurisdiction, regulatory conditions can change over time, but Georgia has generally maintained a relatively stable and predictable administrative framework.

Is Georgia considered crypto-friendly?

Georgia is often described as a relatively crypto-friendly environment compared to many EU jurisdictions.

While regulations may evolve, the country has historically taken a pragmatic approach to digital assets and blockchain-related activities.

Can foreigners legally run a business in Georgia?

Yes.

Foreign individuals can establish and operate businesses in Georgia. The country allows non-residents to register companies and conduct business activities under the applicable legal framework.

Do I need residency in Georgia to operate a business there?

In many cases, residency is not strictly required to establish a business structure.

However, residency may become relevant depending on how the business is operated, where management decisions are made and how personal tax residency is determined.

Your Business Setup

Yes.

Many freelancers, consultants and digital entrepreneurs operate international client relationships through such structures, provided that their activities comply with applicable legal and tax regulations.

Not necessarily.

A business structure can often be established independently of your immediate physical relocation. However, long-term legal and tax considerations may depend on where you are personally resident and where your activities take place.

What happens to my existing company if I relocate my structure?

Your existing company does not automatically disappear or transfer.

Some individuals close their previous company, while others maintain multiple entities depending on their operational needs. These decisions depend on the specific legal and business circumstances.

How long does a typical relocation setup take?

In many cases, the technical setup of a business structure in Georgia can be completed within a relatively short timeframe once all documents have been submitted.

However, the overall process can vary depending on document preparation, verification steps and individual circumstances.

Taxes & Residency

Will I automatically stop paying taxes in my current EU country?

No.

Not for your personal tax residency. Tax residency is determined primarily by where you personally reside and where your economic activities take place. Establishing a company abroad does not automatically change your personal tax obligations. For getting the tax resident status in Georgia you need to go a few steps further.

Does setting up a company in Georgia guarantee tax advantages?

No jurisdiction can guarantee tax advantages, but you can find very low taxes in Georgia (1%).

Tax outcomes depend on multiple factors, including residency, income structure and applicable tax laws. Individuals should always consider their full personal situation when evaluating a relocation structure.

How important is personal residency for tax considerations?

Personal residency is often a key factor in determining tax obligations.

Where you live and where your economic interests are centered can influence how your income is treated under international tax rules. This is why espcially digital nomads and perpetual travelers favor a Georgia Setup.
